In Conversation: Pat Munro

Part of what we do involves asking lots of questions of our candidates, so we thought it only fair that you get to know us a little better.  Here, Pat Munro, one of our Senior Consultants, shares a little about his life outside of work, his technological history and passes on some advice for job hunters.

blog-imageWhat is your earliest recollection of technology?
Watching the Vietnam War news updates on Black and White TV at my Grandmother’s house.

What are your hobbies outside of work?
Playing sport with my kids, going out to nice places with my wife, surfing, strumming and humming a tune, fitness and learning new things.

If you could have lunch with one person, who would it be?
Pope Francis

If you could have the equivalent of Google ‘20% time’ what would you spend it working on?
Developing a community of like minded people centred on personal growth, health and wealth creation. The ultimate would be to help people with the biggest scourge on society and that’s poor relationships and lack of personal funds.

What piece of advice would you give to job hunters?
Start building your network early in your career. Invest in yourself and look to where you can help people and add the most value.
